| The highlight for many at the 2009 Eisteddfod was Rhydian Roberts’ headlining an amazing concert to a packed Pavilion. Sold out within weeks, tickets to the concert were definitely the must-have item for last year’s event. Supported by Only Men Aloud and Gwawr Edwards, the concert, shown on S4C on Christmas Day, gave Rhydian’s fans to see him perform in spectacular style. The success of last year’s concert convinced organisers that Rhydian had to return to this year’s National Eisteddfod – a festival which attracts over 160,000 visitors every year. Hywel Wyn Edwards, Festival Organiser, said: “Rhydian’s concert last year was phenomenal, and the reaction of fans was great. This year, Rhydian will join us again, and will headline the final concert of the week – the night everyone wants to be part of!“ Tickets are already on sale and going well, so please book soon to make sure that you can be part of what will undoubtedly be an evening to remember. Appearing with Rhydian this year is an amazing young soprano, Gwawr Edwards, who wowed the audience with her performance last year, and the wonderful Catrin Finch, who has done so much to promote the harp both in Wales and to an international audience.” |
